In Wild Nepal we will make sure that before your trip you are carrying everything you may need , and our tour guides will make sure that you and your team carry around all of the correct equipment necessary to carry out this trek safely and comfortably. Gosai Kunda is the tallest lake of the planet. At 4380 meters, it is considered by hinduism a sacred lake and a place of pilgrimage for many Hinduists. It is believed that Gosai Kunda was created by Lord Shiva to soothe his thirst with his powerful trident, after fighting against a venomous snake demon that poisoned him.


This trek requires no special training or extreme body resistance. 

Pick up in Kathmandu .

Our team will pick you up in Kathmandu at a site of your choosing early in the morning. After a short presentation we will head in Jeep towards Devgat and Nuwakot, where we will spend the  visiting the old palace of King Jaya Praksha Malla, who governed from 1736 to  until his death in 1768.


Nuwakot was the first stop of the Silkroad outside of Tibet and into the western world.


We will reach Dunche at night and sleep at a comfortable hotel.

 

From Dunche to Chunche.

2 hour long jeep travel to Chunche and then 3 hours hike until we reach Dimsa, where we shall sleep in a typical mountaneer's Nepali Lodge.

From Chunche to Laurebina.

Breakfast and hike to Laurebina in a 7 hour long hike all the way up to the last stop before Gosai Kunda. We shall spend the night in one typical Nepali mountaneer's lodge.

 

Gosai Kunda Ascension

From Laurebina we will start a short 1 hour hike all the way to Gosai Kunda and the mountain pas at 4700 meters altitude where we shall rest and spend the night.


Gosai Kunda is considered a sacred lake with sacred waters and are of high importance for many Hindus from India and Nepal.

 

Trip to Kutumsang.

Breakfast and six hour hike until we reach Kutumsang, where we will sleep in a Homestay.

Trip to Chiso Pani.

Short five hour trek enjoying the view of the temperate region of the Himalayan range and its forests. We shall finish our journey in a small village (named Cold Water in Nepali) at the footsteps of the mountains.


 

Return to Kathmandu.

Breakfast and jeep travel back to Kathmandu, stopping at Nuwakot. 


Our trip includes tonight's Hotel stay in Kathmandu.

This trek is available between October and December and between March and June, before cold winter freezes de passes and before the summer Monsoon rains and slidings   renders most paths tricky or impossible to walk.

The price in this tour does not include.

  1. Equipment costs for the Trekking experience.
  2. Medical nor travel insurance in Kathmandu or any area outside of the Gosai Kunda - Helambu route.
  3. Visa stay (Visa on arrival is available for citizens from all nationalities at Trihuvan International Airport) (Cost is aproximately 2 dollars per day).
  4. International flight costs (These can be purchased via Wild Nepal separately)
